Wine Tasting

Wine Tasting at Domaine Bairaktaris

Domaine Bairaktaris is a modern winery in the heart of Nemea wine land that provides:

  • Tour around the premises of the winery where specialized personnel explains step by step the stages of the wine making, ageing in the cellar in barrels and amphorae, bottling process etc.
  • The tasting follows in a specially designed room, where visitors can be trained in wine tasting and enjoy the excellent quality of Bairaktaris’ wines.

 

The wines to be tested are:

Monolithos White

Category: White dry wine

Classification: Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Peloponnese

Grape varieties: 40% Malagouzia, 30% Asyrtiko, 30% Muscat


 

Monolithos Rose

Category: Rose dry wine

Classification: Varietal

Grape varieties: 80% Agiorgitiko, 20% Assyrtiko


 

Nemea Monolithos

Category: Red dry wine

Classification: Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Nemea

Grape varieties: 100% Agiorgitiko

16 months in new oak barrels


 

Semi-sweet

Category: Red semi-sweet wine

Classification: Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Nemea

Grape varieties: 100% Agiorgitiko

12 months in oak barrels


 

Options for visits with costs follow:

  1. Wine tasting: Tasting of 4 different labels with cheese, olives, raisins, olive oil with molasses and breadsticks or bread. The price is 5 euros per person.
  1. Wine tasting with platters: Tasting of 4 different labels accompanied by platters with variety of cheese and cold ham, spinach pie with feta cheese, stuffed grape leaves with rice and herbs, cherry tomatoes with cucumber and olives, olive oil, bread etc. At the end of the tasting we serve a semi sweet dessert wine. The price is 15 euros per person. (It needs a reservation at least 24 hours before).
  1. Wine tasting with lunch: Tasting of 4 different labels. A regional cuisine lunch follows. For menu options A & B there is a minimum number of participants of 15 people and for option C a minimum number of 8 people. (It needs a reservation at least 48 hours before).

Homemade cheese pie with feta cheese Stuffed vine leaves with mince meet and rice

Traditional spinach pie with homemade leaf

Baked potatoes in mustard sauce

Bread

At the end of the meal a semi sweet dessert wine is served.

MENU B

Green salad or traditional Greek salad (tomatoes, cucumber, olives and feta cheese with olive oil)

Stuffed vine leaves with mince meet and rice

Traditional spinach pie with homemade leaf

Traditional baked pork

Baked potatoes in mustard sauce

Bread

At the end of the meal a semi-sweet dessert wine is served.

MENU C

Salad (Greek traditional salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and virgin olive oil of our region)

Stuffed vine leaves with rice and minced meat Traditional Greek spinach pie with homemade leaf Moussaka (minced meat with eggplant and béchamel) Bread

At the end of the meal a semi-sweet dessert wine is served.

Price per person: 24 euros

 

During the meal we serve extra wine of your option to accompany the menu.

All the prices are final and include everything during the visit.
